Before my chess lessons.. My name is Boroljub Zlatanovic, IM and a professional chess trainer from Serbia. No matter whether you play chess out of love or you are a beginner, an amateur or you play to become a professional, With my chess lessons I will help you achieve an outstanding progress. Whether you want to improve your endgame (basic, typical, complex), middlegame (global strategy, tactics, and typical positions) or to expand and deepen opening repertoire, you are at the right place! Welcome! I was born on August 5th, 1977. I learned to play chess at the age 4. When I was 8, I joined the local chess club and in the same year entered the pioneer and junior team. In 1994, I became FIDE Master, and in 1995 Youth Champion of Serbia and member of the youth national team. I became the State Team Champion with the, at the time dominant, chess club “Partizan”. I was a two-time champion of University of Belgrade and won 10 Serbian Open Chess Tournaments. Finally, in 2014. i became an International Master. In 2015. I became an certified FIDE Trainer! Now I live in the City of Kragujevac (Serbia) where I work in PUC Water supply and sanitation.

I have been a trainer since 2004. My students have had outstanding results in the Cadet and Youth Chess Championship and have been Cadet and Youth Champions of the Federation of Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia and the Balkans several times, in their age group. Now, I’m active as an online trainer and I’m happy to offer you my services. Since 2019 I am also author. I have regular column in American Chess American Chess Magazine.  Also, in 2019 Thinkers Publishing released my first book Fundamental Chess Strategy in 100 games , which has got excellent reviews.

I am also available on website ICC  (I am official vendor there since 2014) under same nickname: OptimusMagister. I’m offering audio and chat (Skype) lessons. You can get chess lessons in English and Russian. The price of the lessons varies and depends on the number of chess lessons, type of chess lessons of your interest, and the current skill level.
