Well done, Matej! Lets make brilliant career together!
Since the 8th to 14th May Noemi Spiranec has participated her first Croatian Women’s chess championship. She started badly, scoring only one draw in first three rounds, although he had very promising positions. Throwing away 1,5 points, she finally started both playing better and realizing positional advantages in her next games. She scored 4 points out of 5 last rounds and finally earned new 22 ELO points! Due to bad start, she missed chances to fight for a medal, or even more. But, performance was excellent, there was no player showed more than Noemi. She won last round game and practically determined a new champion! Her play was very fine, and there is no doubt – continuing this way in next period she will get more experience and deserve to be involved in national team. Looking forward to new successes!

My student, Noemi Spiranec, multi-talented teenager and youth champion of Croatia, gave simul on April 22th 2017 to local fans, teachers and club players. She scored perfect 15,5 out of 16 games! In this year there will be a lot of serious challenges for her and this simul was not just nice happening and chess promotion, but also perfect training for her and good way to encourage herself. She is real rising star!
Excellent, Noemi! Looking for future successes!

Together with Mateusz Paszewski I have participated Open “Karpos”. Tournament was played in Skopje, from 1st to 8th April 2017. Spectators enjoyed that amazing tournament and Mateusz Paszewski was one of the stars. His brave style was recognized by nice public in Skopje and he had many supporters there. He played some very attractive and sharp games. His games against Ulvi Sadikhov and Zoran Tsintsar must find place in books because of both inventive and patient play. Also he was close to stop Bulgarian super star Kiril Georgiev on his road to sharing the first place. In time trouble, finally, Georgiev found way to crush inventive defense. Well done, Mateusz!
I suggest to all friends and followers to visit Skopje and Macedonia at all and participate some of amazing tournaments there. I was glad I finally met Mateusz and we really spend some nice time in lovely capital of Macedonia, Skopje.

Tuna Ozates played at Open Championship of Central Serbia. Tournament was held in Paracin, 07 – 14. July.
Tuna played very well. He started with undeserved defeat in round 1. Unfortunately, later he missed chances to promote to top half losing in round 4, although he had better position. Later he completely stabilised form and made 5 consecutive draws in very fine style. All his opponents were overrated, and that makes his result excellent. He did not deserve to lose even one single game. Tuna gained new 60 elo points!
